The Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation is seeking bids from CN and DEQ Certified LBP contractors for the rehabilitation of one home located in Washington County. The work includes carpentry, hazard reduction, paint and finish, and plumbing, and must be completed according to the work write-up within 45 working days. The home has tested positive for lead-based paint and safe work practices must be followed for the areas noted in the attached reports. Work should begin within two weeks of notification, and liquidated damages of $100.00 per working day will be charged for any extension over the contract end date. To be considered a responsive/responsible bidder, the Mandatory Bid Response sheet and the Work Write Up must be fully completed. To receive preference, bidders must be TERO certified through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office, with proof included in submittals. Successful bidders must comply with Tribal rules, regulations, and TERO. Bids are accepted from Indian and Non-Indian bidders. Preference is given to those with current certification from the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employments Office. This project is subject to Section 7(b) of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, requiring preference to Indian Organizations and Indian Owned Economic Enterprises, and Cherokee Nation TERO requirements, including a fee of 1/2 of 1% of the contract award.
