The Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) is seeking a proposal from qualified consulting engineering firms to perform in-service safety inspection of non-NBI structures, with an as-needed option for NBI structures, within Washtenaw County. The project involves the inspection of 89 non-NBI structures and 1 NBI structure for the 2026 cycle. The consultant will be responsible for field inspection of each structure, completing all reports, and communicating findings to the WCRC Project Manager. Inspections must use both visual means and non-destructive testing as necessary to examine all structural components, including Pavement/Roadway, Sidewalk, Curb, Guardrail, Shoulder, Deck Features, Abutments, Bridge Elements, Slopes, Scour, Channel, Culvert material condition, and other culvert materials. A Photo Log must be included with all reports, with culvert inspection documentation provided in Roadsoft format. The consultant is also required to provide a schedule for completion, attend meetings as necessary, and immediately communicate any unusual situations to the WCRC Project Manager. Proposals must be submitted by 10:00am EST on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
