Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Burlington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

The project involves the reconstruction of Taxiway M between connectors M1 and M3 due to increased cargo operations that have surpassed the original pavement design specifications. The existing concrete pavement is 14" thick, which is insufficient for the current heavier fleet mix, compared to a recent adjacent taxiway built with 21" concrete. The pavement condition has deteriorated and requires complete reconstruction after temporary fixes such as a 2" asphalt overlay have failed. Additionally, the project scope includes addressing pavement distress on the South ARFF ramp and parking lot since these areas have similar issues and are adjacent to Taxiway M. The intent is to complete all necessary reconstruction and repairs in these connected areas as part of one project. question deadline date changed from 06/18/2026 to 06/22/2026 as per Addendum 2 The Project includes full depth reconstruction of Taxiway M from Taxiway M3 to Taxiway M1 (Base Bid). Additional items include new centerline lights, drainage improvements, taxiway edge lights, and shoulder for Taxiway M, and reconstruction of ARFF pavements (Add On 1) which is ineligible and will be locally funded.
