Osborne County is requesting an expression of interest from engineering consulting firms for preliminary engineering and project management services (construction engineering) equivalent to KDOT Work Category 212 – Highway Design-Minor Facility for a systemic signing improvement project (High Risk Rural Road project 71 C-5418-01). Qualifications for roadway construction inspection equivalent to KDOT’s Work Category 241 will also be considered if the firm is interested. The project covers roads north of US-24 Hwy and east of US-281 Hwy, comprising approximately 134 miles of major and minor collector roads. Plans will be developed using State and Federal requirements. A standard three-phase, three-party agreement will be used, with special attachments for the Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate, Certifications of Final Indirect Costs, and the Policy Regarding Sexual Harassment. Interested engineering firms must submit a one-page letter of interest to Osborne County at the provided address on or before June 12, 2026. Firms submitting a letter of interest will receive a packet with further project details and a list of services to be performed.
