Renovation of a power facility in Kitchener, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
The Owner, Enova Power Corp, plans to replace its No 1 & 2 air insulated switchgear lineups at its Kitchener #6 Transformer Station, which is located in the south portion of the City of Kitchener. The existing breakers are considered end of life and the switchgear needs to be updated for arc proofing. The required work includes the design, manufacturing, factory testing, delivery, certified installation (either through supervision or by the Owner's agents), and guarantee of approximately thirty-nine (39) cells of gas-insulated switchgear. These should be arranged in two (2) single bus switchgear lineups. The gas-insulated switchgear must be three-phase encapsulated, initially operated at 14.2kV, and capable of being upgraded with minimal changes to operate at 28.4kV.
