Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Owatonna, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The scope of work includes construction of the 18th Street SE Reconstruction Project in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the City Engineer. Major items include removal and replacement of manhole drainage structures, sawing and removing pavement, removal of water main and sewer pipe (storm and sanitary), removal and installation of curb and gutter, common excavation, installation of geotextile fabric, subgrade preparation, placement of aggregate base, wearing and non-wear course mix, installation of reinforced concrete and PVC pipe sewers, sanitary sewer service connections, temporary and permanent water service systems, hydrants, gate valves, drainage structures, concrete walk and driveway pavement, truncated domes, sign panels and pedestrian crosswalk flasher systems, tree planting, common topsoil borrow, sodding, and pavement marking. Bids must be submitted electronically through QuestCDN and include an affidavit certifying independent bid preparation and a proposal guaranty for at least 5% of the total bid amount. The Council reserves the right to defer acceptance of any bid for up to 40 days, reject any or all bids, or waive any informalities and technicalities.
