Site work and paving for a road / highway in Laredo, Texas. Completed plans call civil work for a road / highway.
Webb County proposes to hire a qualified contractor to conduct roadway improvements for the State Highway 359 Colonias Street Improvement Project – Welch Road. The Project consists of approximately 0.66 miles of roadway improvements including, but not limited to, asphalt and flex base removal, roadway resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation, cleaning and sealing joints, placement of Type D Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete Pavement, traffic control, pavement markings, signage, and all appurtenant work necessary to complete the Project in accordance with the plans and specifications. The road to be serviced is paved but requires overlay repairs. Currently, streets in San Carlos II are unleveled, filled with potholes, and contain multiple fissures, intensified by inclement weather including flooding that makes the street unsafe and sometimes unpassable. There is no land purchase/procurement to be completed for easements or rights-of-way. The project will not need clearings, excavations, utility installations, or fencing activities. Construction completion shall occur within one year following approval and execution of construction contract. All contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors shall comply with all applicable federal requirements. See attached sealed construction plans and detailed specifications for Welch Rd. Street Improvements prepared by Webb County Engineering Department. Bidders must read the document carefully and follow all instructions. No oral interpretations will be made. Requests for clarification shall be made during the pre-bid meeting or submitted online via the e-procurement portal by the deadlines stipulated. All such addenda shall become part of the contract documents and all bidders shall be bound by such addenda. Bidders must submit all required forms and documents, including certifications regarding lobbying and debarment, drug-free certification, equal employment opportunity, BABA certification, and others as specified. A bid bond is required. Performance and payment bonds may also be required. All questions must be submitted through the e-bid portal by the published deadline. All bids must be submitted on the forms provided. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received where such rejection or waiver is in its interest.
