The work consists of the removal of approximately 142 trees located at designated intersections and along certain streets throughout the city, specifically within the City’s Right-of-Way. Trees may have powerlines running through or near them. Bidders must be actively engaged in arboriculture, demonstrate competence, experience, and financial capability, and have the necessary equipment available. One or more International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists must be on staff, and work must follow ANSI A300 Standards for Tree Care and ANSI Z133 Safety Standards. Bidders are required to have a documented safety program and must provide for pedestrian and vehicular safety, including all necessary traffic controls, warning devices, and compliance with state and local highway codes. Blocking of public streets is not allowed unless prior arrangements have been made with the City.
