The project consists of the replacement of the roof on the southwest corner of the Town of Busti Office Building at 125 Chautauqua Avenue, Lakewood, New York 14750. Sealed bid proposals are required, to be submitted in an envelope clearly marked with the bidder's full name, address, telephone number, and the bid title. Specifications for the work are available at the Office of the Town Clerk and can be obtained during designated office hours. Bidders must be prepared to offer sureties and sign the contract within seven days after the notice of award, and failure to do so will result in forfeiture of bid security. All proposals must contain a signed, non-collusive certificate and comply with Section 103 of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. The project requires compliance with prevailing wage rates, and appropriate insurance and workers compensation are mandatory. The Town reserves the right to select the most complete or best value bid and may waive informalities or reject any or all bids. Area of work is the Southwest corner of roof which is approximately 2,400 sq ft Work to be completed in 2026 Scope Item 1 o Remove roof and insulation etc. down to deck o Remove any unused vents/ducts or items and patch deck as needed o Provide new tapered insulation (provide R-value and ensure that it meets NYS Code) o Provide new .060" EPDM roof system with minimum 20-year warranty o Provide flashing and roof edging as needed o Provide disposal of all debris Scope Item 2 o Disconnect and remove from roof all solar panels and associated parts o All racking and ballast must be removed from roof o Rear storage areas of town building can be used for storage of parts o Reinstall all solar panels and associated parts and ensure operability Scope Item 3 o Shut off and remove gas line to existing RTU o Replace with new gas line and valve at RTU o Work must be coordinated with roofer so that the office is not without heat
