Pulverizing, regrading, compaction, and paving for 3,000 feet of the northern portion of Krejchik Road, beginning at the junction of Shanks Road and proceeding south for 3,000 feet. The contractor shall obtain detailed measurements and road segments from the Town or its representative. All work must be completed by September 30, 2026. Pulverizing must be to the full depth of the existing pavement unless otherwise directed. Fine grading and compaction are to be completed before a 3-inch hot mix road surface is added. The road width must be maintained at 20 feet, with one foot of gravel shoulders installed. The roadbed must have a 1 to 2 percent slope to the center, blended into the overall lay of the roadbed. All road and driveway ends must have saw cut joints. The contractor shall provide all machinery, equipment, labor, and other necessary incidentals for proper cleaning, seal coating, and rolling. A list of employees (by job class) and equipment (by piece) to be used on the project must be furnished. Bid proposals and award of contract shall be based on a lump sum bid and shall include standard quantity rate prices. Standard quantities will be used as the basis for total contract adjustment for any additions or reductions to the project. The Town of Caledonia reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to add or remove project portions for budgeting or other interests. A performance bond may be required. Contractors awarded the project will be required to sign a contract agreeing to all terms and specifications. Documentation of asphalt, liquid asphalt, and chip seal aggregate weigh slips with proper identification and dates must be submitted with the invoice.
