Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project is for the construction of a pump station complete with piping, slab, enclosure, and appurtenances to replace an existing pump station. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, material (where required), and equipment for the project according to the plans, details, specifications, and contract documents. All bidders must meet the criteria and requirements set forth in the instructions to bidders and bid proposal. Prequalification is not required. Bidders must comply with state laws regarding general contractors and possess all necessary licenses and permits. Each bidder must submit with their bid a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a fully executed bid bond on the required form, executed by a surety company authorized to make bond in Alabama, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the estimated project cost or total bid, but not more than $10,000. All bids must include the General Contractor's current license number and a copy of the license.
