Reference Number 0000427017 CR#: 2135809 Removal of existing flexipave areas and selective demolition of concrete sidewalk. Excavation and soil import for tree pit installation. Underdrain and pavement rehabilitation to support tree pit construction. Tree planting and concrete sidewalk replacement for areas between tree planters and tree pit guards to protect beds. This Project consists of the improvements to East Avenue Streetscape Improvements, between South Union Street and Alexander Street. The scope of the work consists of removal of the existing flexipave areas along East Avenue within the project limits. On the south side of East Ave, the sidewalk will be removed one full flag width back from the curb and the existing urban fill soil will be excavated to depths shown on the project drawings. On the north side, the existing flexipave areas will be removed and existing urban soil excavated to depths shown on the project drawings. Tree pits will be established by filling the excavated areas with select structural fill and special planting mix topsoil, with underdrain piping to drain the pits. Ground cover plantings and mulch will be provided at the surface in the planter beds, and remaining areas will be paved with concrete sidewalk.
