The work includes a collection of tasks and related specifications that have pre-established unit prices. A Job Order Contract (JOC) shall be used for the accomplishment of repair, alteration, construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, demolition, and construction of infrastructure and buildings by means of individual job orders issued under the JOC. The intent and purpose is to establish a JOC with a twenty-four month initial contract term, with work to be carried out in the Coastal Region of California Areas 1 and 2. Bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as a public works contractor. Payment and performance surety bonds are required, initially in the amount of $5,000,000, and upon state discretion, new surety bonds of $2,500,000 as job orders are awarded. The aggregate amount of active job orders cannot exceed the bond amounts. Contractors and all subcontractors must abide by all health and safety mandates issued by federal, state, and local governments or by DGS. Costs associated with adherence to these mandates are the responsibility of the contractor, who is also responsible for tracking, compliance, and may be audited upon request. Bids will only be accepted from contractors who attend the mandatory virtual pre-bid conference. Bid forms and solicitation documents will be available for download. It is recommended that vendors register as a bidder on the Cal eProcure website to receive notifications of modifications. A public bid opening will be held virtually. JOCs may be executed for an initial term of up to 24 months and may be extended by amendment. The maximum contract amount for the initial term is $10,532,000 and the individual job order maximum value is $1,053,000 as of January 1, 2026.
