Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Sealed bids will be received electronically through PennBid for Race Street Water Main Replacement, Contract KSB-2026-RSWM. The project involves replacement of approximately 860 LF of 6” and 8” DIP water main, replacement of service lines and valves, installation of two new fire hydrants, and replacement of a storm inlet. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and must state this fact. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Rates apply. The project is partially funded by a grant from the Chester County Department of Community Development Community Revitalization Program, and requisite grant requirements apply as described in the bid documents.
