Lewis County Public Works proposes to stabilize the roadway embankment at Carr Rd from milepost (MP) 0.26-0.28 by excavating the failed portion of embankment and installing an anchored gabion cribbing wall. Additional construction is anticipated to include the installation and removal of a temporary bypass road, removal and installation of guardrail, and hydroseeding of disturbed soils. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the plans, specifications, and other contract documents available through the designated procurement portal. Sealed bids must be delivered by the specified deadline and clearly marked for the project. All bid proposals must include a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder must enter into a contract and provide a satisfactory contract bond within the specified time, or the deposit will be forfeited. Disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to participate and will receive equal consideration without discrimination based on race, color, or national origin.
