Site work for a water / sewer project in Torrance, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed bids are invited for the construction of Miscellaneous Water Main Replacement, I-153, in the 190th Street/Prairie Avenue neighborhood. The estimated contract total is $4,250,000. All work must be completed within one hundred twenty (120) working days from the Notice to Proceed. Only bids submitted electronically via PlanetBids will be accepted. A Class A Contractor’s license is required to bid, although another class may be accepted at the discretion of the Public Works Director or Engineer. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage requirements per the California Labor Code, and must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations at the time of contract award. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Addenda will be issued by posting to PlanetBids, and it is the responsibility of the bidder to obtain and acknowledge them. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informality or irregularity, and determine the lowest responsible bidder. No facsimile bids will be accepted. Substitution of securities for withheld funds is permitted per Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code.
