Site work for a pipeline in Florence, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a pipeline.
In general, the project includes approximately 100 linear feet of 2” PE gas main, 1,350 linear feet of 6” PE gas main, four service connections and associated service lines, and connection to existing gas mains. Sealed bids submitted prior to the bid opening should be clearly marked ITB GAS-R-00975, including the General Contractor License Number, on the outside of the envelope and sent to the City Purchasing Department. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price or $10,000 payable without recourse. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price and a Payment Bond in the amount of 50% of the contract price upon the forms provided, from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Bidders, subcontractors, suppliers, and bond agents should be familiar with the Alabama Code Title 39 and related regulations. Preference shall be given to resident contractors as outlined by applicable law. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty days from the date set for receiving the bids.
