Improving deficient earthen berms acting as barriers between ammunition and explosive (AE) storage areas at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU). AE locations include the North Rail Holding Yard, Ammunition Pads, and the South Rail Holding Yard. Work may include heavy tree clearing, sediment and erosion control, potential wetland mitigation primarily in the North Rail Holding Yard, and significant earthwork to bring the earthen berms back into compliance with DA PAM 385-64 and DESR 6055.9 minimum explosive safety requirements. Location: Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU), 5960 Sunny Point Rd, Southport, NC 28461, Brunswick County, North Carolina The magnitude of construction for this project will be between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00.
