Quotes are sought for the conversion of an existing bathroom to an ADA compliant bathroom. Attendance at a site visit is mandatory prior to submitting a quote. All quotes must be submitted on the Official Bid Form provided and include a breakdown of materials and labor costs. Prevailing wages must be paid as this is a NYS Public Works Project. Vendors or sub-contractors must be registered with NYS DOL and include a copy of their certificate with the quote. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner per scope of work. Work is to be completed within 60 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project prevailing wages and certified payroll are to be paid. Refer to this scope of work and attached design drawings for specifications. Upon completion of the ADA bathroom, The Plant Superintendent will be notified for a final inspection. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: o Refer to the attached designs for the demolition and renovation specifications. o Fire alarm devices will be covered at the beginning of the workday and uncovered at the end of the workday to prevent accidental fire alarm activation. o Any unforeseen concerns found during this project, Capital District DDSO, must be notified before work continues. o Floor tile, including the shower floor, will be 2 x 2 Matte finish Ceramic Mosaic tile with an epoxy grout. Winning Vendor will be notified of the color. o Wall tile will be polished. Winning Vendor will be notified of the tile and paint color. o Plumbing fixtures and access schedules are included in the designs. o No Hot work is allowed. Use ProPress fittings for plumbing connections. o Open drains during construction will be capped to prevent sewer gases entering the house
