The City of Pascagoula is requesting proposals from qualified firms for the maintenance of city property requiring full professional knowledge of a wide range of landscaping activities. These activities encompass regular mowing of city properties and right-of-way, tree trimming, maintenance of city entrances and other areas, shrub and ground covering trimming, weeding/blowing/edging of city sidewalks, debris and garbage removal, and maintenance of sports facilities. Contractors are expected to perform landscaping maintenance at numerous sites as outlined in attached exhibits. Specific tasks include: 1. Mowing of all city-owned property and right-of-way as detailed in exhibits, with requirements on frequency. 2. Tree trimming on city property or right-of-way once every six months, as outlined in exhibits. 3. Monthly maintenance of all city entrances and designated beds, with flower beds changed out once every four months; includes watering, weeding, and debris removal. 4. Monthly trimming of shrubs and ground coverings at all designated locations. 5. Weeding, edging, and blowing of all city sidewalks and right-of-ways once every four months. 6. Debris and garbage removal from city properties and right-of-ways, excluding city cans or dumpsters. 7. Maintenance of specific city-owned sports facilities, including grooming, dragging, lining, fertilization, weeding, and pest control, as listed in an exhibit. Instructions to bidders include submitting proposals that demonstrate necessary equipment, landscaping background, organizational size and capability, familiarity with the City of Pascagoula, and proposed pricing. Customer service is also a criterion. Proposals are to be evaluated based on responsiveness, responsibility, and overall advantage to the city, not necessarily lowest price. Multiple contracts may be awarded, and criteria or timeline may be changed at the city's discretion. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes with required copies and labeling as specified.
