The Knox County Commission is seeking qualifications from firms to provide engineering services for the replacement of water lines in the Knox County courthouse in Edina, Missouri. The courthouse, built in 1935, contains a mix of steel and copper water lines. The anticipated scope of work includes an engineering report with recommendations and estimates for replacing the water lines, recommendations for phasing the work, preparation of construction plans and bidding/contract documents designed for phased construction, assistance with advertisement for bids, bid evaluation, construction contract administration, and intermittent construction observation. Interested firms are encouraged to visit the courthouse and consult with the County Commission. Firms wishing to be considered must submit 4 hard copies of a letter of interest and qualifications information to the Knox County Clerk's office. Submittals will be scored based on experience with similar projects, experience of the lead person and design team, experience of the construction inspection and contract administration team, and project approach.
