Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work generally consists of installation of draintile for sump pump discharge, located at various sites throughout the City of Cedar Rapids. Bids shall be on a Unit Price basis. The successful bidder shall provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. All contractors and subcontractors are responsible for pre-employment drug screening of prospective employees and must have a drug and alcohol testing policy that conforms to Iowa Code, submitting an acknowledgement of this with their bid. Items in the project are exempt from State of Iowa and Local Option Sales and Use Taxes; contractor is responsible for obtaining the exemption and should not include these taxes in the bid. By statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, as lawfully required. Bidding and contract documents are available online, with no deposit required for the documents. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and technicalities.
