Description

Site work and new construction of a medical facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a 2,080,000-square-foot, 895-bed medical facility.

The project involves the construction of a 2.08 million square foot, 895-bed facility focused on expanding the University of Kentucky HealthCare Patient Care Facility. The building will accommodate additional inpatient beds and clinical support services. Included services are adult and pediatric inpatient rooms, observation spaces, operating rooms, minor procedures, diagnostic services, imaging services, pharmacy, retail, lab, administration, support, and meeting spaces. The University of Kentucky and Construction Manager Walsh Turner JV III are soliciting Requests for Qualifications and Proposals for Core & Shell Plumbing and HVAC, and Core & Shell Electrical packages, with the intent to enter into Competitive Negotiation with one or more subcontractors for each package. Complete written proposals are required in a consolidated PDF document, submitted via SmartBid. Hardcopies are not required and proposals should not be sent to any other parties. Firms must submit a completed Notice of Intent to Bid to access the SmartBid system. Along with the proposal, bidders are to submit all required attachments, a Subcontractor Bidder Information Form, evidence of insurance, and a current W9. This solicitation is for a phased Lump Sum Agreement for Competitive Negotiation Subcontractor Services and construction phase fee percentage if authorization is received.
