Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Plainville, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work consists of removing the existing concrete sidewalk on Fleetwood Drive and Hilltop Road and replacing it with a five-foot concrete sidewalk. Bidders must be fully informed of the construction and labor conditions. The contractor should employ methods and means that minimize interruption or interference with other contractors. Each bid must include a Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond equal to 5% of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each equal to the value of the contract, are required. All sureties must be listed on the most recent IRS Circular 570. Bidders must submit a completed Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Compliance Certification. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 120 calendar days after opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive informality in the bids, reject any or all bids, or accept a bid in the best interest of the Town. The contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including spending allocation goals (25% SBE and 6.25% M/W/DisBE) and non-discrimination requirements enforced by the CHRO. MBE’s, WBE’s, and SMEs are encouraged to apply.
