Reference number: 20150746 Description The call for tenders consists of the restoration of the Entourage Guimard, a heritage property located at the Saint-Antoine entrance to the Square-Victoria metro station. The elements to be restored are all iron castings as well as comblanchien stones. Corrosion is present on several of the cast iron elements. This corrosion must be stopped and a new protection and finishing system must be implemented throughout the assembly, respecting among other things the current patina. The stones, on the other hand, must be refurbished by stripping and protected by a durable anti-graffiti system. The restoration must be carried out in situ, therefore based on the outside temperature in Quebec, with access to the entrance for the metro at all times with a flight of stairs available. The work is a heritage restoration package for the Guimard surround, including all labour, materials, equipment, tools, packaging, transport, storage, conservation, and in-situ restoration of the cast iron elements and Comblanchien stone; the technical spec says the work must stop corrosion, restore damaged surfaces, renew the paint and patina system, clean and repair the stone, and apply permanent anti-graffiti protection, while keeping metro access open during the work in two phases.
