Work will include the mowing or brush hogging and removal of any small trees that may have established themselves in areas where they are not required or wanted. Any tree removal will be at the direction of the Stormwater Coordinator for Williston. The degree of slope and area of the ponds vary from site to site. All vegetation must be mowed to no less than 3 inches and no higher than 5 inches. Any debris that enters Forebays or ponds as a result of this work must be removed by the contractor. Where fences are installed at the perimeter, the area within the fence down to the water's edge shall be mowed or brush-hogged. Vegetative growth along the fence line shall be lowered with a trimmer or similar means. Fenced sites may be locked and may require coordination with the Town for access. At sites without a perimeter fence, the work area is defined by the easement boundary as depicted on the site map(s). All areas within the easement boundary down to the water’s edge, including access roads/paths, are to be included. The water's edge will be determined by the water level at the time work is completed. Work may not be completed within 48 hours following a rain event totaling 0.5 inches or more. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the name and address of the company and the project name printed clearly on the outside. Include references for past projects, proof of insurance, verification that the company has been established for at least three years, and proposals shall be for a lump sum and a not-to-exceed amount. Proposals received after the stated deadline will not be accepted or reviewed. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received and to negotiate with any qualified source.
