Site work for a water / sewer project in Angleton, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The project generally consists of the installation of approximately 2,500 linear feet of 8-inch PVC water lines with associated valves, fittings, and service connections. It includes the encasement of 400 linear feet of new 8-inch water line crossings across SH 288B in 16-inch steel casing, and the removal and replacement of approximately 300 linear feet of existing 6-inch sanitary sewer crossings across SH 288B with new 6-inch PVC pipe and encasement in 12-inch steel casing. Additional work includes the rehabilitation of 3 existing sanitary manholes, replacement of concrete curb ramps and sidewalks, and concrete and concrete with asphalt overlay point repairs. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond of not less than five percent of the bid amount as a guaranty of completion of the forms provided by the City within 10 days after notice of award. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the total contract price, from a surety company acceptable to the City. Copies of plans and contract documents may be obtained at the office of the Engineer for a non-refundable charge or downloaded from the specified website after registration. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities, and accept any bid from the lowest responsible bidder.
