Description

Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Flushing, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; transportation facility; bridge / tunnel; and communication facility.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), through MTA Construction and Development Company, seeks to engage a Project Management Consultant to provide project management, construction management, design compliance, commissioning oversight, and special inspection services to administer, manage, oversee, and coordinate the design and construction of the Westbound Bypass Project. The project consists of the design and construction of a new single-track undergrade box structure, including associated infrastructure and appurtenances, crossing beneath two vital Long Island Rail Road tracks at Harold Interlocking in Queens County. Additional work includes the construction of new retaining walls, crack and spall repair of existing structures, installation of new track, switches, power infrastructure, a signal bridge and other signalization infrastructure, a new communication hut, and a new pump station within Harold Interlocking.
