Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The Jefferson County Parks Department seeks proposals for the purchase and installation of a 45’ x 12’ snowmobile bridge. Specifications require a 25,000# load, MCA treated Southern Yellow Pine deck boards (pre-stained and attached with all fasteners rated for MCA treated wood), galvanized or equivalent hardware, a 42” horizontal railing, and submission of two sets of stamped engineered drawings. The project includes the use of 6 yards of fill at each bridge end for ramps (12 total yards of spoils and gravel material). Bidders must include costs for delivery and installation and provide a separate line item for removal and disposal of the old bridge and any spoils. The bridge kit includes all steel I-beams and crossmembers (predrilled, with red oxide primer), MCA Southern Yellow Pine treated lumber, and all hardware, meeting WI DNR guidelines for a 25,000# load. The project must be completed by October 31, 2026. All sealed bids must be received no later than 1:00 PM on Wednesday June 24th. Contractors must schedule the project at least two weeks in advance and, once started, complete the installation within two weeks.
