The City of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is soliciting sealed bids for Pecks Road Drainage Improvements. Bidding procedures will follow the latest edition of M.G.L. Chapter 30 39M. Bids must be addressed to the Purchasing Agent, Room 102, City Hall, 70 Allen Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201. Bids must be received by 2:00 PM July 1, 2026, and submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "SEALED BID ENCLOSED IFB#27-010 Pecks Road Drainage Improvements." Complete sets of plans and specifications are available at the Purchasing Office after 9:00 AM June 10, 2026. Bids are valid for 30 business days after receipt. Wages are subject to the prevailing wage requirement of M.G.L. Chapter 149, 26-27F, inclusive. Compliance with the "Equal Opportunity Clause" and Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Construction contract specifications is required. All bidders will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status. The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informality, and to reject any bid, in part or whole, if it is judged that the best interests of the City will be served thereby. Work under this contract shall consist of demolition and replacement of existing culvert pipes, headwalls, and drainage structures in Pecks Road and between 465-469 Pecks Road. Work includes demolition of approximately 1,290 feet of existing 18" and 30" CMP, 2 catch basins, 2 headwalls, and a drain manhole. Replacement of pipe with twin barrel 30" RCP, new drainage structures, and headwalls. Work also includes installation of HMA pavement and restoration of cross-country areas within the limit of work.
