Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Remove and replace asphalt driveway and parking area. Remove and replace wood retaining wall. Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. A. The Work of the Contract consists of: 1. Remove and replace the entrance driveway with new Hot Mix Asphalt over a new compacted Process Gravel Base. Remove existing wood retaining wall and replace with concrete block wall. 2. Materials - Hot Mix Asphalt, Process Gravel, Crushed Stone, Concrete Block, PVC Pipe, Loam and Grass Seed. 3. Work either shown on the Drawings or included in the specifications unless specifically indicated not to be done. 4. Work outside the Project Site as called for in the Contract Documents and as required for the performance of the Work. 5. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities. B. Execution of Work: Work to be performed in timely and workmanlike fashion. Site must be cleaned up daily with access needed for overnight. C. Warranties/Guaranties: All installed Hot Mix Asphalt must be free of any abnormalities, cracking and puddling for 1 year. The participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women.
