Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ashby, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

The project consists of work to bring Damon Pond Dam into compliance with the Massachusetts Dam Safety Regulations (302 CMR 10.00) and making state park site improvements. Proposed work includes concrete and masonry repairs to the dam, spillway, and training walls, removal of unsuitable vegetation on and within 20 feet of the dam, site drainage improvements, overtopping protection to the dam embankment and structural repairs to the bridge deck and railings. The project also includes construction of recreational features including two ADA-compliant parking spaces and an ADA/MAAB-compliant stabilized aggregate path from Hosmer Road to the boundary of the southern beach. The work is to be accomplished within 365 calendar days of a notice to proceed. Liquidated damages in the amount of $750 per day will be assessed if the work has not been completed in accordance with the provisions of the contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance with the contract provisions). Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit, in the form of a bid bond, cash, certified check, or a treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Department of Conservation and Recreation in the amount of 5% of the bid.
