Reference Number 0000425913 Question Deadline 06/24/2026 at 3:30 PM ET General Requirements - Prevailing Wage Required Each submitted proposal must be accompanied by (a) a certified check in the sum of 5% of the amount of the bid, drawn upon a national or state bank or trust company, to the order of the Town of Colonie, New York, or (b) a bond with sufficient sureties in a penal sum equal to 5% of the bid, conditioned that if its bid is accepted, successful bidder will enter a contract for the same and that he will execute such further security as may be required for the performance of the contract. At the execution of the anticipated contract, the Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond equal to 100% of the full amount of its bid; provided that with the approval of the Town, the Successful Bidder may be allowed to substitute, as an alternative to the performance bond, an indemnity agreement acceptable to the Town along with cash, an irrevocable letter of credit from a banking organization, or a certified check. The Town of Colonie reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids submitted. Bid date notes: Bids shall be submitted at the time and place indicated in the Notice to Bidders and shall be enclosed in an opaque, sealed envelope. The opaque envelope shall be marked on the outside with the project title and name and address of the bidder. The submission shall consist of the completed pages of this document marked "TO BE SUBMITTED," and any other required documents. The submission shall also include, if required in the Notice to Bidders, the bid security. If the bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the bid shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation "BID ENCLOSED" on the face thereof AND the outer envelope shall be marked on the outside with the project title and name and address of the bidder.
