The work includes furnishing all labor and materials to perform underground fire service and fire loop on-call repair services under a Unit Price Contract at various locations. Services include furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, permits, testing, and incidentals necessary to investigate, excavate, repair, replace, and restore underground fire protection infrastructure. Tasks may involve leak detection and troubleshooting; excavation and exposure of underground fire service mains and fire loop piping; repair or replacement of damaged piping, fittings, valves, valve boxes, hydrant leads, post indicator valves (PIVs), fire hydrants, thrust blocks, and related fire protection appurtenances; emergency repairs for fire protection service restoration; installation of new underground fire protection piping; hydrostatic testing, flushing, and inspection of repaired systems; and coordination with relevant authorities. Emergency response services must be provided 24/7 with prompt response to service requests. All work must comply with federal, state, and local regulations, OSHA requirements, and the latest editions of NFPA 24 and NFPA 25. Upon completion, all disturbed areas, including pavement, concrete, landscaping, irrigation, and other affected improvements, must be restored to original or better condition. Contractors must provide written daily service reports, testing documentation, photographs, and as-built information for all completed work. Instructions to bidders require attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference, submission of the most current letter of pre-qualification from the Clark County School District, and all information listed in Part 5 of Document 00 21 13 – Instructions to Bidders. Pre-qualification requirements: Bidders must be prequalified pursuant to NRS 338.1379, hold a Nevada Contractor’s License with Classification A and/or AB, and provide a current letter of pre-qualification issued by the Clark County School District.
