Site work for a water / sewer project in Watertown, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work consists of providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the Lift Stations Standby Generator Installation Project-Phase 3 at three locations: Roundhouse Dr., 302 Walker Avenue, and 135 Fairbanks St at each of the pump stations. Bidders must review the insurance and bonding requirements and provide appropriate forms and coverage. A security deposit of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid is required. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond in the amount of not less than 100% of the total accepted bid and be approved by the City Council. Attention is drawn to the conditions of employment and minimum wage rates to be observed under this contract. The City Council reserves the right to waive any informality or reject any or all bids. 1. Excavate to new subgrade, install, and compact new subbase material as shown on the Contract Drawings, or by direction of the City Engineering Office. 2. Install Concrete pad and all conduits as described in “scope of work” for each job site. 3. The contractor is to follow each individual “scope of work”, for each separate job site, to install the standby generator and transfer switch. All equipment is to be as listed in the “scope of work” or its equivalent. 4. The contractor is responsible for supplying materials and installation of any additional structures, such as walkways or retaining walls. The cost of these structures should be in their bid prices. 5. Site restoration of soft surface and hard surface will be performed where directed and as shown within the details. 6. The contractor is to provide traffic and pedestrian control as needed. The contractor is responsible for supplying and installing all signs as needed. 7. Coordinate with the local utilities’ companies in conjunction with any relocation of existing facilities. 8. The contractor shall pay their employees as per NYS Prevailing Wage Rates Determination; Per NYS Prevailing Wage Schedule assigned PRC# 2026013382. 9. City of Watertown, Water Department will provide a hydrant water meter to awarded contractor to fill water truck as needed and will be billed at the bulk water price. Contractor to call Water Department at the end of workday to retrieve meter. Costs are$ 8.64 per 1000 gallons for the first 1000 gallons, and every 100 gallons thereafter is $0.88. There is a processing fee of $2.50 for each bill sent to the bulk water user. 10. The contractor is responsible for making sure their bid price represents any possible adjustments in material cost; due to increase in lead time for project items. The contractor will be held to the bid price. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
