Site work for a water / sewer project in Keene, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work involves replacing sixteen existing 6-inch gate valves and installing twenty 6-inch and five 8-inch water main gate valves, including one temporary water main line stop at various locations. The contractor is to furnish and install all required pipe, gate valves, and appurtenances in accordance with the construction drawings and specified requirements. Excavated areas will require both initial and final trench patching, with final patching occurring up to one year from the original as directed. All materials, labor, tools, equipment, operations, testing, and incidentals necessary for a complete operating water system installation and for setting up and maintaining water service at all times, except for authorized shutdowns, are to be included. The work is to be coordinated with the owner, engineer, utilities, and other relevant agencies, and is subject to inspection, acceptance, or rejection by the owner or engineer. Bidders are to make sufficient investigations to be knowledgeable about existing conditions prior to submitting a bid. Construction operations are limited to indicated areas and noisy operations are allowed only during designated hours, with sound levels not to exceed 40 dBA at adjacent buildings.
