Denholm Municipality is inviting tenders for slope stabilisation and culvert replacement works on Chemin du Lac-du-Cardinal in Denholm, at numbers 799 and 819. The works include the mechanical stabilisation of slopes and ditches using riprap, the replacement of a 1800 mm diameter TTOA culvert, the removal of an existing culvert, Class 1 excavation of ditches, the repair of the road structure, the laying of asphalt surfacing and the restoration of the site following completion of the works. Reference number: 20152273 Deadline for receipt of complaints 2026-06-22 There is provision for a tendering process for each tender No Expected duration of the contract without options (in months) 1 Commencement of Work: Contrary to Article III-4.6.1 of BNQ 1809-900, authorization to commence work is specified in the resolution or purchase order awarding the contract or during the kick-off meeting and is then recorded in the minutes of that meeting. The Contractor must be available to begin work ten (10) business days after receiving the order, provided that the documents required in the bid documents are provided and in compliance. With regard to the duration of the work, also known as the long-term schedule, all work must be completed no later than October 24 within a period of four (4) consecutive weeks, starting from the date the work begins. Work in aquatic environments is authorized between July 15 and September 30. Restrictions on the timeframe for completing certain work, also known as short-term deadlines, may apply when such work is subject to: - Municipal restrictions such as summer activities, the school year, detour routes, or coordination between different construction sites; - Conditions for receiving financial assistance from a government department; - Ministerial authorization from the MELCCFP; - A declaration of compliance or an exemption in accordance with the REAFIE; - Authorization from the regional wildlife management office to carry out an activity likely to alter a legally protected wildlife habitat; - An authorization from the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Canada for a project likely to result in the death of fish, or the deterioration, destruction, or disturbance of their habitat. In addition to imposing certain restrictions on the execution of the work, the subject works will require coordination with the relevant ministries regarding any contract modifications during their execution.
