Description: The City of Miami is considering an $80 million redevelopment of the Rickenbacker Marina and Marine Stadium Marina on Virginia Key, totaling 27.6 acres at 3301 Rickenbacker Causeway. The proposal by Virginia Key LLC—a joint venture between RCI Marine Group and Suntex Marinas—includes modern marina infrastructure, boat storage facilities, commercial/retail and restaurant space, and expanded parking. The 45-year lease (with two 15-year renewal options) would generate minimum annual rent plus revenue participation, and the project would be delivered in three phases adding up to 750 dry slips, 162 wet slips, and supporting amenities, pending a city commission decision and potential voter referendum.
