The work will include, but is not necessarily limited to, 9,500 SY of milling, 600 tons leveling course, 920 tons wearing course, and other work specified in the contract. A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10 percent of the total bid is required. Bonds must be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The contract is subject to: the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (OSHA), Pennsylvania Act 229 of 2002, the Pennsylvania One Call Act (Underground Utility Line Protection Law), the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222, Non-discrimination in Employment/Contract Compliance Regulations, Non-collusion affidavit requirement, and the Public Works Employment Verification Act.
