Sealed bid proposals will be received for the JOY PARK COMMUNITY BUILDING FLAT ROOF REPLACEMENT AND RELATED WORK at JOY PARK, 524 FULLER ST., AKRON, OHIO 44306. All bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of either a bond for the full amount of the bid, a certified check, cashier's check, bank draft, or an irrevocable letter of credit for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide a method of assurance of completion, such as a performance and payment bond for 100% of the contract amount, a twenty percent (20%) cash deposit, or a twenty-five percent (25%) irrevocable letter of credit. The project is subject to the Build America Buy America Act requirements. Bidders must comply with Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity clauses, and the provisions of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 regarding training and employment opportunities. The Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise bids, and waive informalities. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the opening without the consent of the Authority.
