Description

Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

Dane County is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the complete demolition of the Ferris Center at 2120 Rimrock Road, Madison, WI 53713. The project includes site restoration via seeding after demolition. An alternate site address is 101 E Rusk Ave, which is used for sewer permit and platting purposes. Following contract award, the contractor is required to make utilities in the structure safe and then provide the structure to the Madison Fire Department for thirty days for training scenarios. After the fire department's training event, the contractor will proceed with demolition in accordance with project drawings and specifications, including site restoration and closure of the erosion control permit. Work should be coordinated with Dane County Public Works and Madison Fire Department, and must comply with all applicable specifications, ordinances, local permitting requirements, and prevailing wage laws. Contractors must have demonstrated experience in demolition and site civil work in urban settings, and the capacity to manage projects of similar size and complexity.
