UC Davis Health in Sacramento requests Statements of Qualifications from qualified firms interested in providing architectural services to support the Capital Projects team within the Facilities Planning and Development division. One architectural firm will be selected for each of five Work Scope categories; at its discretion, the University may select one firm for more than one Work Scope. Firms must indicate which Work Scope(s) they wish to be considered for and demonstrate their experience and staffing skills specific to each category. Work Scope 1: Criteria Development for Design-Build or Collaborative Contract Model Architectural services for developing criteria documents and participating in collaborative project delivery efforts. Responsibilities include preparing criteria documents, coordinating with stakeholders, supporting regulatory and HCAI compliance, facilitating collaboration with partnering entities, and assisting in risk and schedule alignment. Work Scope 2: Design Services for Minor Projects (under $1M) Architectural services for minor capital projects such as building system upgrades, renovations, site improvements, code compliance updates, and MEP modifications in both HCAI and non-HCAI facilities. Scope includes evaluating conditions, developing solutions, preparing documents, permitting, construction administration, and stakeholder coordination. Work Scope 3: Design Services for Equipment Replacement Projects Architectural services for equipment replacement in healthcare environments, covering systems like HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical equipment. Responsibilities include evaluating conditions, developing solutions, preparing documentation, permitting, construction support, and coordination to minimize operational impacts. Work Scope 4: Design Services for HCAI Projects Architectural services for projects under HCAI jurisdiction, focusing on renovations of public areas, patient rooms, surgical suites, and more. Emphasis on code upgrades, system replacements, finish upgrades, and maintaining healthcare functions during construction. Work Scope 5: Design Services for Non-HCAI Projects Comprehensive design services for projects governed by UCDH Building Department or Local Entity, including patient, research, educational, office, and administrative spaces. Emphasis on code upgrades, renovations, system replacements, finish upgrades, and maintaining healthcare functions during construction. Statements of qualifications must be submitted electronically by the specified deadline. Firms must notify the University in advance to receive the submission link, and questions may be addressed via email only. Equal access, nondiscrimination, prevailing wage, and fair wage requirements apply. Each firm may need to show evidence of equal employment opportunity policy, and the successful firm and subconsultants must adhere to nondiscrimination and wage requirements set forth in the agreement documents. The work described is subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code as a public work.
