Project Overview & Scope Project Goal: Resurface the existing asphalt by removing (milling) top layer and resurfacing with 2 inch layer and repairing all areas in need of additional work. Entrance from Halls Path to be level with lot. Location: Front Parking Lot with entrances off Rt 137 and Halls Path Total Area: Approximately [approx 60,000 Sq. Ft.] of asphalt to be resurfaced (see enclosed map). The area includes several small islands and longer islands that break up the lot sections and several storm drains. Striping: Re-stripe the entire front parking lot to match existing layout, including ADA compliance and markings. 2. Preparation and Cleaning (Crucial Steps) Clean: Clean the entire area, including removal of dirt, debris, weeds, and oil stains. Edge: Machine edging to remove grass or dirt covering the asphalt edges. Pothole Repair: Any potholes or failed base areas must be excavated, cleaned, and patched with hot mix asphalt before application. Railroad Ties: Remove old railroad ties that meet the asphalt. The Awarding Authority will be responsible for removal of old railroad tie materials. Drainage: Clean and resurface area around catch basins 3.
