Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chico, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Installation of an additional pedestrian and bicycle crossing at the intersection of Vallombrosa Ave and Memorial Way, and Memorial Way and Camelia Way intersections. The work also includes widening pedestrian refuges, upgrading pedestrian ramps to ADA requirements, signal modifications, and upgraded Audible Pedestrian signals. Sealed bids are required for the entire work described, and must be submitted on the bid form provided by the Public Works Department, obtained through the Public Purchase online bidding service. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, cashier’s check, certified check, or a bidder’s bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, for at least 10% of the total bid amount, as a guaranty in case the successful bidder fails to enter into the contract. At the time the contract is awarded, the contractor must possess a Class A Contractor License or a combination of classes required for the types of work included. Prevailing wage rates as determined by the State of California and, if applicable, Federal guidelines must be paid. Five percent (5%) will be withheld from each progress payment until the work is accepted and the period for filing liens has expired. Registration with the Department of Industrial Relations is required to qualify for bidding and performing work on the contract.
