Renovation of a mixed-use development in Decatur, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a five-unit multi-residential development; and multi-residential development.
The Decatur Housing Development Corporation is seeking qualified contractors to supply all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, water, light, heat, power, transportation, and supervision required to provide construction repairs to five DHDC apartments located at 310 Cedar Lake Road (Apartments A-1, C-4, D-4, E-4), 625 Austinville Road (Apartment #6), and a single family home at 634 Canterbury Avenue, Decatur, AL. The contractor is responsible for ensuring safe access for emergency vehicles during the work, maintaining as-built record documents if issued, complying with Build America, Buy America Act requirements if applicable, and directing all communication regarding the project through the designated DHDC contact. The contractor must also adhere to requirements for licensing, bonding, compliance with Davis-Bacon wage rates, and submission of required documentation and forms as part of the bid process. All work must be performed in accordance with applicable laws, codes, regulations, and DHDC specifications and conditions. The scope or work provided may not be all-inclusive and bidders are to review all related documents and attachments referenced in the materials provided. Bidders must fully comply with bid submittal instructions including the proper completion and organization of required forms and supporting information, as non-compliance may result in rejection of the bid.
