Renovation of a residential development in Waterford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

The City of New London, through the Housing Conservation Program, will receive bids for residential rehab for vinyl siding for 175 Clark Lane, Waterford, CT. Specification: Furnish and install vinyl siding over existing siding. After proper preparation of all surfaces, furnish and install new vinyl siding on exterior walls, knee walls where applicable, open porches, enclosed porches where siding exists on both exterior and interior walls, and any/all areas that under construction practice should be sided. Wherever siding, sheathing and/or wood members are missing and/or deteriorated, they shall be replaced, form the same configuration as adjacent work and also provide sound nailing. The intent is to cover all areas that would have to be painted if siding were not placed. Wall mounted 3/8" thick backer board shall be used with tight joints; small piecing and drop-in backer board is unacceptable. Furnish and install aluminum wrapping and panels on all cornices, window and door frames, casings porch trim and ceilings where applicable, and any/all woodwork that is considered trim and normally could and would be painted if wrapping were not accomplished. All wrapping shall be returned into stops of windows and doors, and at window sills back into stool; so that when bottom sash is in a closed position, it will overlap the joint. Raw sharp edges of wrapping and wrinkling of metal is unacceptable. Furring out and/or strapping is required to existing work; and wherever wood members are missing and/or deteriorated, they shall form the same configuration as adjacent work and also provide sound nailing. Aluminum wrapping shall be installed so as not to encumber any windows or doors. It shall be required to reveal no less than 3" on outside window and door casing when "J" channel is applied.
