Scope of work will involve clearing of approximately 4 acres of the banks of Millers Run and reconstruction of the North Bank using the deposited material from the South Bank and the main channel. Slopes will be reconstructed with R-6 Rip Rap Mattress and completion of site restoration and seeding of graded areas. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words Millers Run Slope Re-Establishment Project. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the Chartiers Valley District Flood Control Authority in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. Bids may be submitted for any one item or multiple items or all of the enumerated items as separate contracts; the Authority may award separate or combined contracts and reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or waive any informality. Proposals must remain firm for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days and no bidder may withdraw the proposal during this period without forfeiting the bid guarantee.
