Reference Number 00005083601 Request for Bids (RFB) for the provision of construction service for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources for the replacement of the concrete mud slab with rip rap at the Snowshoe Rapids Dam, approximately 33 km south east of Red Lake, Ontario. The Contractor shall remove the failed existing concrete mud slab and replace it with geotextile and rip rap downstream of the Snowshoe Rapids Dam. The Contractor shall conduct the following Work: (i) Remove the existing concrete mud slab and dispose of such materials to an appropriate landfill site. (ii) Excavate and prepare the foundation for the replacement mud slab "in the dry", utilising a cofferdam and dewatering system. (iii) Supply and place geotextile and new rip rap. (iv) Restore the Site following completion of the Work including removal of equipment access road to downstream area, erosion-proofing of banks and stabilization of all soils exposed during construction.
