Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Columbia, South Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

One-time service to provide and install light fixtures in the Boiler Plant (Building 21) at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center. Work includes furnishing all labor, travel, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to remove and dispose of existing light fixtures and install sixteen new hazardous-location LED fixtures meeting specified electrical, mechanical, and lighting requirements. The effort involves removing eight fixtures approximately 30 feet high using a lift and seven fixtures approximately 10 feet high using a ladder, installing new fixtures on existing brackets and connections, and adding one additional fixture on the lower deck requiring new wiring, bracket installation, and connection to the nearest electrical source. The contractor must also provide and install brackets comparable to existing ones, ensure safe worksite conditions with proper area control, manage tools and debris, comply with OSHA training requirements, and coordinate all work with the assigned Contracting Officer Representative. Work is to be performed during normal business hours, excluding weekends and federal holidays, within a performance period not exceeding two months. Location: Wm.
