Renovation of a municipal facility in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 21,800-square-foot municipal facility.
The work involves restoring the roof of the Rigdon Center at 1958 Lewis Turner Blvd, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547. Areas of the metal roofing require coating with a fluid-applied waterproofing membrane system using Polyurethane resin coatings. The Rigdon metal roof is to be coated with a Synthetic rubber cold-applied coating. The coating will be applied to the following areas: Foyer area (3,200 sq ft), Doolittle (A1 and A2; 17,500 sq ft), and Bowlegs (B) Bathrooms area (1,100 sq ft). Contractors must complete field measurements prior to submitting a quote for accuracy. The work includes preparing the metal roof surface by scraping, sanding, wire brush, or blasting clean with TSP or Simple Green, using portable blowers to clear moisture, applying seam sealer to seams, and base/top coating with a synthetic rubberized restorative coating as per the manufacturer's specifications. Additional steps include power washing the entire roof with a 3,000 PSI power washer (water provided by property), installing seam sealer on all laps, seams, and screw heads, applying one layer of CPR base coat at 1.5 gallons per square, and one layer of CPR topcoat at 1.5 gallons per square.
